First Quarter 2026 Update

Sharing voices, stories, and the soul of our town

The first months of 2026 have been busy and we're inspired to have experienced it all!

Our mission has always been simple — to capture the voices of Paisley, preserve our shared heritage, and give space to the stories that shape who we are. This quarter, that mission has taken us to places where Paisley Buddies tell us their stories as well as invite a range of guests into our studio.

Conversations that matter

We’ve welcomed an incredible range of guests to the microphone.

  • Politicians joined us to talk about local priorities, community challenges, and the future of Paisley.

  • Poets shared their words and the emotions behind them, reminding us how powerful language can be in capturing the spirit of a place.

  • Musicians and weavers — two crafts deeply rooted in Paisley’s identity — opened up about their creative journeys, and the pride they take in their craft.

  • Historians and authors helped us explore the layers of Paisley’s past, connecting the dots between where we’ve been and where we’re going.

Every voice added something unique, and every story helped deepen our understanding of the community we serve.

Out and about — taking the station on the road

This quarter wasn’t just about studio conversations. We stepped outside, into the heart of Paisley and beyond.

A walk through time at Paisley Abbey

Our guided tour of the Abbey was a highlight — a chance to stand inside centuries of history and hear stories that still echo through the stone. We're in awe that this majestic building still towers over the land where monks and priests, missionaries and stone masons all once gazed up the familiar landscape.

A trip to Largs Radio

We also travelled to Largs to connect with fellow broadcasters. It was a brilliant opportunity to share ideas, learn from each other, and build relationships that strengthen community radio across the region. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, and this visit reminded us how powerful it can be when local stations support one another.

Gathering stories from the people who live them

Perhaps the most meaningful part of this quarter has been the time spent with the community. We’ve been out meeting residents, recording memories, and listening to the everyday experiences that make Paisley what it is. From tales of mill work and market days to reflections on modern life, these stories are the heartbeat of Paisley Heritage Radio.

Every voice matters. Every story counts. And we’re honoured to help preserve them.

Looking ahead

If the first quarter is anything to go by, 2026 is shaping up to be a remarkable year. We’ll continue to seek out voices from every corner of Paisley, strengthen our partnerships, and keep building a platform where heritage lives, breathes, and speaks.

Paisley Heritage Radio — your stories, your heritage, your voice.
